The Canadian Society of Mayflower Descendants has an extensive Mayflower and New England research library to help Canadians in researching their New England and Mayflower lines. The Society has a genealogical collection that is now housed at the Toronto Reference Library. Please note that we no longer have the catalogue online as it can now be accessed through the Reference Library.

Included in our collection is the complete set of The New England Historical & Genealogical Register, 1847 with a complete index for the years 1847-1994. A generous 2001 bequest enabled us to add the Barbour Collection of Connecticut Vital Records and the Massachusetts vital records on microfiche. We have The Mayflower Descendant , vols. 1-34 on microfiche, and most issues of the Journal published since 1985. We have all current volumes of the silver Mayflower Families Five Generations books, volumes of the five generation Howland books as well as the pink Mayflower Families in Progress (MFIP) booklets. All of these are in addition to a wide variety of pertinent New England reference books.

In addition to the Canadian Society of Mayflower Descendants’ library catalogue, the General Society of Mayflower Descendants also has its own extensive library.

We depend on donations of books and funds and have been fortunate to have the support of our members. If you have research books collecting dust, please consider donating them as our historians could also use them in helping applicants document their lineages. We promise to give them a good home! We also welcome financial donations to purchase books.
